फिर वही चाँद वही हम वही तन्हाई है

At a first glance someone may think that I have listed the title of the song wrongly. They would think of the hugely popular song  फिर वही चाँद वही हम वही तन्हाई है from the film Jahan Ara (1964).

This one is from the '50s- indeed from a film starring Dev Anand and Nutan -Baarish (1957). Perhaps the film was forgotten and so were the songs. The playback is by Lata Mangeshkar and (Ramachandra) Chitalkar and music is by C Ramachandra. The same year, Dev Anand and Nutan starred in  Paying Guest whichwas a hit. Later the two appeared in Tere Ghar ke Samne, a hit and Manzil, a flop.

चि : ये समुंदर का किनारा, है ये ख़ामोशी का समा
ल : ये समुंदर का किनारा, है ये ख़ामोशी का समा
चि : ये इक ख़ाब मोहब्बत का
ल : इक ख़ाब मोहब्बत का है इस वक़्त जवाँ
न कोई डर है ज़माने का न रुसवाई है
