A romantic duet by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar from the film  Charitraheen (1974). The film had Sanjeev Kumar and Sharmila Tagore in lead roles. The two meet, fall in love and get seperated. Based ona Bangla novelChoritrohin written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. 

Music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman and lyrics are by Anand Bakshi.

The film was directed by Shakti Samanta. In spite of good director, good songs and a good director, the film failed at the box office. There are some common elements in the story with that of Gulzar's Mausam, also with  Sanjeev Kumar and Sharmila Tagore in lead roles, released a year later. Mausam was successful on box office.
